Marcelo ‘El Chino’
is one of the new talents of tango. For the past
10 years he has become ever more popular teaching
and performing in Buenos Aires, Europe and North
America. Since 2004 Marcelo has been teaching
at TANGO BRUJO and COPELLO TANGO. His speciality
is the ability to transmit complicated body sensation
in an accessible way. Marcelo magnetizes the attention
of the Buenos Aires tango scene and is elected
by young professional dancers to help them enhance
their creativity. He was part of the first BAJOFONDO
shows in Buenos Aires and has performed in many
tango shows such as SABOR A TANGO, ESQUINA HOMERO
MANZI and in theatres including the famous TEATRO
COLON.
Marcelo has studied tango
since 1998 with the Dinzels, Nito and Elba, the
Rivarolas, Teresa Fernández (Todaro system)
and Victor Arne. He studied Dance and Choreography
at IUNA (Intituto Universitario Nacional de Arte
– Buenos Aires) where he received professional
training in choreography, Russian and French classical
dance, modern dance, jazz and yoga.
